Children of B&B Essay Practice -- Writing SEXXYY Paragraphs

The novel ‘Children of blood and bone’ by Tomi Adeyemi is about a girl named Zelie who was trying to restore magic for her people with the help of her friends. In the text, the relationship between Inan and Zelie helped me to understand Inan. This is because it showed me a love-hate relationship between everyone and his father, and him changing throughout the story, also the betrayal that he shows both to his father and Zelie.

The incident of Amari’s rebellion and how Amari changes throughout the story helped me to understand the important idea of character development because it showed me that how can someone change. We see this in the text when Amari stole the scroll and ran it off accidentally met Zelie. This means that Amari thinks stealing the scroll would change something. This made the reader feel surprised and amazed because how can someone from a weak and fragile person becomes strong and brave individual. It reminded me of another important part in the book when Zelie killed someone on the ship while they were fighting for the sunstone because this also shows the idea of character development. In the real world, this idea is important because it makes a person better and more responsible for each move they make.

Learning outcome:
We are learning to write an essay using S.E.X.X.Y. paragraph method.
