‘Ancient Egypt’
During the Ancient Period in history, there were some significant technological advancements. Some of the inventions during this time were papers, boots, mirrors, wigs and boats. These inventions are seen during this time are all still widely seen and used today.
A significant invention in Ancient Egypt is the invention of boots, there is very little evidence of the use of covered shoes in ancient Egypt. The few that have been found were woven from palm fibre and grass. Such shoes seem to have been prized possessions. They were invented about 1500 b.c.e. Only significant people who were allowed to wear boots such as the infantry, royals, wealthy people, etc. as they were measured in social status and possession. Slaves weren’t allowed to wear boots. Therefore the creation of boots was very important to Ancient Egyptians.
Another significant invention of Ancient Egypt is the invention of wig, The earliest Egyptian wigs (c. 2700 b.c.e.) was constructed of human hair, but cheaper substitutes such as palm leaf fibres and wool were more widely used. They denoted rank, social status, and religious piety and were used as protection against the sun while keeping the head free from vermin. In hence Wigs was one of the most needed inventions in Ancient Egypt.
This significant invention is one of the most important Ancient Egyptians made, Ancient Egyptian invented boats, they were made 3000 B.C.E... Egyptians were using boats made of wood, with sails to move them around. The Egyptians believed the Sun travelled across the sky in a boat made of papyrus reeds. The presence of boats made a huge impact on today’s time, such as they were used for fishing, to carry passengers, etc. Wherefore the invention of boats was absolutely revolutionary.
To sum up, There were many Significant technological advancements seen during the Ancient Egyptian era. Some of these discussed are papers, wigs, boots, pyramids, mirror and the most important, boats. These are all commonly seen today all around the world and are still very important.
