Science - The Blood vessels

We have learned a lot of things in Science for the past few weeks, we were learning about the Bones, the blood vessels and how do joints work, in this blog, I am working about on the blood vessels.

The Arteries take oxygenated blood away from the heart. They do not have any valves. Arteries appear red when viewed through the skin

The Arteries takes de-oxygenated blood back to the heart. Valves keep the blood moving in the correct direction. Viens appear blue when they are close to the skin because of the refraction of light through the skin

Because they are so thin, oxygen, nutrients and hormones can flow out of the blood and into the tissue, and waste material can flow in. Capillaries contain both oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood.
