Why do we look at street art?

  • To discover what it is or how it is different from other arts.

Why do we stop when we see it?

  • We stop because we’re interested in seeing arts that blow our mind.

What is our reaction? *

  • Majority of people get amazed and overwhelmed by seeing this beautiful street art.

Does it relate to its surroundings in a noticeable way?

  • Yes, it is noticeable because of how big street art is, but some are not maybe.

Why do we need and use visuals around us?

  • Because It is an effective way to pass information because the human mind processes things in images

What are examples of common visual symbols in our environment?

I like this one because it has its own uniqueness, the main attraction of this art is the eyes. You can actually see there's a human between the eyes.

Children of Blood and Bone

Chapter 2 – Zélie
“It’s a diviner tax.” I grip the draped fabric of my pants, still haunted by the guard’s touch. “They came for Mama Agba, too. Probably hitting every home in Ilorin.”
Tzain presses his fists to his forehead as if he could smash through his own skull. He wants to believe that playing by the monarchy’s rules will keep us safe, but nothing can protect us when those rules are rooted in hate.
This could be compared to / A message I take from this scene is

This could be compared to the people who suffer from a dictatorship, like North Korea, China, and Russia.

Chapter 3 – Amari
“I am afraid not, Your Highness. I saw it with my own eyes. Their magic was weak, but it was there.”
Skies…
What does this mean for us? What shall happen to the monarchy? Are the maji already planning an attack? Will we have any chance of fighting back?
Memories of Father before the Raid play in my head, a paranoid man with grinding teeth and forever graying hair. The man who forced Inan and me into the palace cellar, placing swords in our hands though we were far too young and weak to lift them.
The maji will come for you, he warned. The same words every time he forced us to spar. When they do, you must be prepared.
This could be compared to a War, a conflict toward both sides.

A message I take from this scene is that Amari is scared for the maji to comeback. She doesn't want her dad to go back to the way he is.

Chapter 9 – Zélie
“Mama, are you okay?”
Tears come to her eyes, spilling into the wrinkles of her dark skin. “It’s been so long,” she whispers. “I never thought I would feel the warmth of magic again”

“I feel,” she chokes through her silent sobs. “I feel like I can breathe again.”
A message I take from this scene is that the magic is coming back, and it's the time for a change.

Chapter 13 - Zélie
I turn back toward Amari and try to let it go. But in her eyes, I see her brother’s. I feel his hands choking me.
“I want to trust her—”
“No, you don’t.”
“Well, even if I did, I can’t. Her father ordered the Raid. Her brother burned down our village. What makes you think she’s any different?”
They are starting to feel sorry for Amari.

Chapter 22 - Amari
I pause for a moment, aghast at the number of them filling the narrow path. Before today, I caught only glimpses of the laborers brought in to staff the palace—always pleasant, clean, groomed to Mother’s satisfaction. Like Binta, I thought they lived simple lives, safe within the palace walls. I never considered where they came from, where else they might have ended up,
“Skies…” It’s almost too hard to bear the sight. Mostly diviners, the laborers outnumber the villagers by hordes, dressed in nothing but tattered rags. Their dark skin blisters under the scorching sun, marred by the dirt and sand seemingly burned into their beings. Each is hardly more than a walking skeleton.
A message I take from this scene is that Zelie witnesses the slavery of the labourers and made them fight.

Culling Animals

‘ The Slaughter’
In New Zealand, wild rabbit is considered a pest, they’re a big problem regardless of Agricultural. But all this culling had an important reason, for instance, culling animals is the way to reduce their population in order to prevent damage to habitat and control the increasing population.

In my opinion, This practice is straight murder, But I support culling as there are good points or reasons why do they kill these animals, in fact, there is no difference between processed meat or a slaughterhouse from culling. Some people might be not be supporting this doings.

In conclusion, culling animals is benefiting to the people who got sick of these pests, and also culling is one of the ways to control the rapidly increasing population of these animals.
