 Wildlife Trip

In 23rd of May, we went a trip to Willow Bank Wildlife Reserve and i learned alot of things.

The animal that I found interesting is Weka, Weka is also known as Maori hen or woodhen and they are size of a chicken,Weka bird is a flightless birds pecies.Weka’s are omnivore so they eat everything,Also Weka is a Part of the rail family.

I've seen Alot of endangered animals one of them is the kune kune pigs, kune kune pigs are hairy pigs for me they look super cute you can find alot of colours of them start from black and white, to ginger, cream, gold-tip, black, brown and tricoloured.Kiwi are endangered too the Kiwi population comprised 5 million birds they rapidly fallen to around 50 to 60 thousand now.

I've seen kea too, they named it brain bird because they are so smart but they are dangerous too because of their beak they have a long sharp beak so thats why their dangerous and also farmers hate them because they are known as pest for farmers.

Science - 3 Things I've learnt this topic

1. I've learnt the imporatance of every part of the eye, example one of the part of the eye the cornea,  cornea It helps to shield the rest of the eye from germs, dust, and other harmful matter. Thecornea shares this protective task with the eyelids, the eye socket, tears, and the sclera, or white part of the eye. The cornea acts as the eye's outermost lens, and other more partsof the eye.

2. I've learnt the important of the eye, the eyes play an important role in this. The human senses are our contact to the environment. The human brain combines the fireworks of neurons of seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touching into a meaningful whole  By far the most importantorgans of sense are our eyes.

3. And lastly i've learnt how we see color - The surface of the apple is reflecting the wavelengths we see as red and absorbing all the rest. An object appears white when it reflects all wavelengths and black when it absorbs them all. ... By varying the amount of red, green and blue light, all of the colors in the visible spectrum can be produced.
